Supply List: These items can be bought locally at Michael's or online. Watercolor paper - full sheet (22" x 30") of 300 lb Arches cold press, is what I will be using. You can also use a watercolor pad or smaller paper. Use 140 lb, Arches cold press if you don't have 300 lb. If using 140 lb., stretch it before you come to class. A backing board to tape your paper on. I use 1/2" Gatorboard. Plastic or wood sturdy board will also be fine. Bring 3 tubes of watercolor paints (a yellow, a red, a blue). I recommend tubes. Small size tube will be fine. Use good quality brands (Winsor&Newton, Daniel Smith, Holbein, AmericanJourney) Good combos: Winsor Yellow/Winsor Red/ Winsor Blue (I will be using this combo) Other yellows: New Gamboge, Hansa Yellow, Cadmium Yellow Other reds: Permanent Alizarin Crimson, or Permanent Rose Other Blues: French Ultramarine, Antwerp,
Ruler, a T square if you have it, a pencil, kneaded eraser, 2” wide masking tape Brush #4 or #6 round. Bring 4 or 5 brushes about that size and it will be helpful in mixing colors. Palette with wells to separate colors, 2 clean glass jars for water, spray bottle to wet colors, scraps of watercolor paper to try mixes. Bring about 5 pieces of scrap watercolor paper for trying colors. Also Paper Towels, a plastic bag for used paper towels, garbage.

Two clean glass jars for water, a spray bottle Extra watercolor paper scraps to try colors on Paper towels, pencil, kneaded eraser, Watercolor graphite paper to use to transfer pattern to paper, Kosher salt or table salt Masking fluid masking brush(white nylon or plastic) and rubber cement eraser. Inexpensive Liner brushes are good for masking. Do not use your good quality watercolor brushes for masking.
